Equity Ideas when researching textbooks
a) Check the publication date of the text. More recent textbooks may incorporate more IDEAA principles.
b) Does the book include material that includes different racial and ethnic groups?
c) Is the text written by authors of different races and cultures?
d) Are periods of history explained from different points of view?
e) Does the information, photos and stories include different racial and ethnic groups?
f) Do the authors represent different genders?
g) Do the history and social science books discuss events from different points of view?
