Description:
The Automotive Technology program provides for entry level skills in the automotive field. The program is designed to impart in-depth technical skills as required in today’s highly technical automotive field. Preparation for employment in the automotive and/or transportation trades, with upgrading and specialization skills for those currently employed will be stressed. Emphasizes practical experience in actual repairs under simulated shop conditions.

This degree path prepares you for an entry-level job or allows those who are currently employed to upgrade their job skills. The Certificate of Achievement Automotive Technology is embedded within the degree and offers practical and hands-on experience in automotive repairs, engine analysis/tune up, brake systems, auto electrical systems, engine diagnosis/overhaul, suspension, steering, and alignment. Possible future careers include entry-level positions in a large dealership, independent garage, specialty shop, parts store, machine shop, and more.
