Career Info:
Child development professionals work directly with children as teachers, directors, assistant teachers and aides, home care providers and early childhood mental health specialists. Early Childhood educators are professionals who work in schools or child care centers to promote the development of young children.  With a career in early childhood education, you can contribute to the success of young children by providing a strong foundation in literacy, math, and social skills. In addition to teaching students these skills, you provide for the physical needs of children while offering a caring and empathetic classroom environment.  Here's some future career possibilities from the CA Career Zone.
