The Criminal Justice program is designed to provide students with the basic theoretical knowledge that will prepare them for a career in law enforcement or corrections. The program develops a high level of academic, personal, and professional competence demanded in a wide range of agencies. 

Career Info:
Specializations include corrections, law enforcement, forensics, criminal justice research/management, legal studies for prosecutorial or jurist careers, or criminology. Possible careers include federal, state, or local law enforcement, probation, parole and correctional institutions, specialized criminal investigations, forensics, criminalistics, or a career in the study of crime causation or victimology.  Here's some future career possibilities from the CA Career Zone.

  1. Apply through CCC Apply.   CCC Apply is the way potential students across CA apply to a community college! 
  2. Take the orientation online (see Student Planning video below) and bring it with you when you meet with a counselor (Step 3).   
  3. Meet with a counselor (virtual or in-person).  Please call for an appointment, 760-921-5500
  4. Apply for Financial Aid.   Please call 760-921-5553 to speak with a representative in the financial aid department if you need help filling out the online form. 
  5. Register for classes.   (Videos and printable guides are located below).
