Description: 
The Associate in Arts in Child and Adolescent Development for Transfer builds the foundation in the theories and principles of growth and development, from conception through adolescence.  The program provides a basis of knowledge in child development, psychology, biology and statistics. 

Career Info:
Child and Adolescent Development students are provided a baseline of the physical, socio-emotional, and cognitive growth and development of the child.  Possible careers include working with children and families in hospitals, foster care, juvenile and family courts, social services agencies, schools, or public and private service-oriented programs.  Here's some future career possibilities from the CA Career Zone

  1. Apply through CCC Apply.   CCC Apply is the way potential students across CA apply to a community college! 
  2. Take the orientation online (see Student Planning video below) and bring it with you when you meet with a counselor (Step 3).   
  3. Meet with a counselor (virtual or in-person).  Please call for an appointment, 760-921-5500
  4. Apply for Financial Aid.   Please call 760-921-5553 to speak with a representative in the financial aid department if you need help filling out the online form. 
  5. Register for classes.   (Videos and printable guides are located below).
