                                                 Hello PVC Pirates!

Palo Verde College has implemented the Guided Pathways model, creating highly structured approaches to student success.  When students can identify a career goal early on in their educational journey, they are more likely to complete on time and succeed.  Consistent guidance and a clear outline of the required courses help support students when it comes to choosing the right program for themselves.   Input was gathered across the campus in order to improve the experiences of students both inside and outside the classroom.  In California, Guided Pathways provides a framework for integrating California based initiatives such as Student Equity and Achievement, CA College Promise and Strong Workforce programs.

At the tabs at the top of the page, you'll find twelve (12) Associate Degrees for Transfer (ADTs), all of which transfer to a California State University (CSU) in the same major, otherwise known as "A Degree with a Guarantee."   Also, four vocational pathways are listed, leading to vocational employment opportunities.

When you click on each degree, you'll learn a little more about careers in that field, and what courses you'll need to take here at PVC (before transferring).  Check it out!   Don't forget to meet with a counselor or advisor for further guidance.   Please call for an appointment.   --  Sincerely, Your Guided Pathways Team
